Space Creatures

Delightfully frightening monsters emerged at Diener in 1979. The popular series was called “Space Creatures” in America and “Underwater Monsters” in the UK. The eight other-worldly oddities were inspired by sci-fi movies, TV shows and comics of the 1950s and ‘60s. Many were produced in hard plastic and distributed to children in McDonald’s Happy Meals.  They were also sold in blister packs that revealed their nightmarish names: Gill Face Creature, Horned Cyclops, Insect Man, Lizard Man,   Tree Trunk Monster, Vampire Bat Creature, Veined Cranium Creature & Winged Amphibian Creature.
