Yogi Bear & His Pals

Yogi Bear liked to proclaim himself to be “smarter than the average bear,” and his erasers are way more fun than the average eraser. Bears look and act hilariously human in the Yogi Bear animated TV show that premiered in 1961 and soon inspired a set of six Diener erasers. Created by legendary animation team of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the show centered on the antics of Yogi and his sidekick Boo-Boo Bear as they tried to steal picnic baskets at the fictional Jellystone Park. Diener Industries fashioned six Yogi Bear characters as both full-bodied erasers and as heads to perch happily on the tops of pencils. The set included cross-over character Snagglepuss, a flamboyant character known for his catchphrase “Heavens to Murgatroyd!”
