Prehistoric Animals

Dinosaurs roam the earth again in the form of Diener erasers. The Prehistoric Animals line was one of its first and most popular sets. They made mastodon, smilodon (saber-toothed tiger) and megatherium (giant sloth) as well as crowd-pleasers like Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops. In the 1980s, Diener packaged its dinosaurs into boxed sets with educational posters.  The popularity of dinosaur erasers soared in the 1990s as crowds flocked to the thriller “Jurassic Park.” Dinosaurs were Diener’s last big success, but the Diener dinosaurs have not gone extinct. They continued in limited production as pencil top erasers after Diener was sold to WinCraft in 1993.
