Itty Bittys Charm Animals

“Itty Bittys Charm Animals” is the name that Diener Industries gave to its original and most enduring line of soft rubber animal erasers. These whimsical characters often wore clothing and took on human poses. They were introduced between 1956 and 1967, with early versions having hand-painted details. About 35 animal species are represented, sometimes with multiple designs. The Itty Bittys line also includes a few mythological creatures and inanimate objects with faces to give them more personality. A number of Diener erasers are marked with the name of their toy design arm, Concepts Inc.  Some of the original characters were removed from production after 1967, but the majority of the Itty Bittys line continued to be manufactured and sold at retail stores through 1993, with limited production later. Many of the animals were also produced in a smaller form called “Itty Bitty Juniors.”
