Other Diener erasers will be added
Many other erasers were created by Diener Industries from the 1960s to 1993, and RetroErasers.com hopes to feature all of them on this website. Here are some of the characters that may be added in the future.
Funimals
Fun-loving animal athletes called “Funimals” use sports equipment in a line of pencil toppers from 1988. The cartoon-style characters range from the silly, such as the ungainly Balletpotamus, to the super-cool, such as the Surf’s Up Cat in sunglasses. The elephants, bears, pigs, cats and hippos are equipped with soccer balls, hockey sticks, surf boards, baseball bats, football helmets, skateboards and ballet tutus, resulting in at least ten unique characters. They’re often called simply “sports animals” because Diener didn’t do much to promote the Funimals brand name or the cute names that they copyrighted for Prima Bearina, Soccerphant and their friends.
