Friendly talking animals share forest adventures in the whimsical Winnie the Pooh series. Generations of children grew up with the beloved characters created by British author A. A. Milne about his son Christopher Robin and his stuffed animals, including teddy bear Winnie the Pooh.  Disney adapted them into one of its most successful franchises, with films starting in 1966. Diener released this set of eight erasers at the same time. The original 1920s illustrations were stylized into the Disney cartoon characters in the erasers. Fans of Christopher Robin and his “silly old bear” flocked to these fanciful renditions, and they remain highly valued by collectors today. Winnie the Pooh leaves a lasting cultural legacy that cannot be erased, not even by Diener.
